Indoor Worker - Outdoor Surfaces. The indoor worker is exposed to contaminated dust settled on outdoor surfaces. The indoor worker spends his entire shift inside. Three exposure routes are presented: (1) exposure to contamination deposited on surfaces via incidental ingestion, (2) inhalation of particulates and (3) external exposure to ionizing radiation from dust settled on contaminated surfaces. This indoor worker equation includes an indoor air dilution factor for inhalation and a gamma shielding factor for external exposure.
